Configurations build problems

Jun 13, 2011 at 7:23 PM

Hi,

I was looking at the MSBuildShellExtension product - it seems like a great product to me, but for some reason when I try to build a specific configuration (i.e. Debug|x86) does not work - the console windows shows for a fraction of seconds and disappears. The only choices from the context menu that work are Build, Rebuild and Clean - but they are by default building the Debug and not the Release. Is there a way to configure it to build the Release version by default? I am working with Visual Studio 2010. I also tried to find any log files generated from the tool, but was not able to...

Thanks

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Does the target, configuration, or platform name contain a space in its name (ex. "Any CPU")?

If so, you can try using the latest source from the trunk, or wait for the next release.

See this changeset: http://msbuildshellex.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/changes/60981

Actually the targets do have spaces in the name. I will try to build from source.

Thank you for the assistance,

Ivan
